Computable Jordan Decomposition of Linear Continuous Functionals on $C[0;1]$

چکیده
By the Riesz representation theorem using the Riemann-Stieltjes integral, linear continuous functionals on the set of continuous functions from the unit interval into the reals can either be characterized by functions of bounded variation from the unit interval into the reals, or by signed measures on the Borel-subsets. Each of these objects has an (even minimal) Jordan decomposition into non-negative or non-decreasing objects. Using the representation approach to computable analysis, a computable version of the Riesz representation theorem has been proved by Jafarikhah, Lu and Weihrauch. In this article we extend this result. We study the computable relation between three Banach spaces, the space of linear continuous functionals with operator norm, the space of (normalized) functions of bounded variation with total variation norm, and the space of bounded signed Borel measures with variation norm. We introduce natural representations for defining computability. We prove that the canonical linear bijections between these spaces and their inverses are computable. We also prove that Jordan decomposition is computable on each of these spaces.

$n$-Jordan homomorphisms on C-algebras
Let $nin mathbb{N}$. An additive map $h:Ato B$ between algebras $A$ and $B$ is called $n$-Jordan homomorphism if $h(a^n)=(h(a))^n$ for all $ain A$. We show that every $n$-Jordan homomorphism between commutative Banach algebras is a $n$-ring homomorphism when $n < 8$. For these cases, every involutive $n$-Jordan homomorphism between commutative C-algebras is norm continuous.
متن کاملOn strongly Jordan zero-product preserving maps
In this paper, we give a characterization of strongly Jordan zero-product preserving maps on normed algebras as a generalization of Jordan zero-product preserving maps. In this direction, we give some illustrative examples to show that the notions of strongly zero-product preserving maps and strongly Jordan zero-product preserving maps are completely different. Also, we prove that the direct p...
متن کاملOn p-semilinear transformations
In this paper, we introduce $p$-semilinear transformations for linear algebras over a field ${bf F}$ of positive characteristic $p$, discuss initially the elementary properties of $p$-semilinear transformations, make use of it to give some characterizations of linear algebras over a field ${bf F}$ of positive characteristic $p$. Moreover, we find a one-to-one correspondence between $p$-semiline...
متن کاملC*-algebras on r-discrete Abelian Groupoids
We study certain function algebras and their operator algebra completions on r-discrete abelian groupoids, the corresponding conditional expectations, maximal abelian subalgebras (masa) and eigen-functionals. We give a semidirect product decomposition for an abelian groupoid. This is done through a matched pair and leads to a C*-diagonal (for a special case). We use this decomposition to study ...
متن کاملComputability over The Partial Continuous Functionals
We show that to every recursive total continuous functional Φ there is a representative Ψ of Φ in the hierearchy of partial continuous functionals such that Ψ is S1 − S9 computable over the hierarchy of partial continuous functionals. Equivalently, the representative Ψ will be PCF -definable over the partial continuous functionals, where PCF is Plotkin’s programming language for computable func...
